But, last week at formal dinner, I won the Cross Country JV Award, which is cool cause now I know that I will be on the varsity side next year.

Other than that, not much has changed.

Everything in the first month of Gould has been going great.
I am making lots of friends, and classes are going great.
I am going on a mini vacation soon. I intend to visit all my friends when I come down to Massachusetts, but they yet to know when my vacation is. Hehehehe.
I have done very well in Cross Country. I am one of the best on the team, so I am psyched about that.
Well, I have practice in like 15 minutes so I have to get ready.

Well, it's Wednesday now, and I has a bored. I have a cross country meet at 3:30, and that's 3 hours from now. So there is really nothing to do. I'm just chilling in my dorm, and no one is really here because of all the away games for sports.

I really like cross country, its really fun, it's something I am actually am good at. My first 5K was horrible, it was like 27 minutes, and now it's 20 minutes. I improved like 7 minutes, which is huge in CCR.

I'm blasting techno right now, so that's a pro right now.

Well, I saw what happened after the countdown. You were supposed to refresh the page once it hit 0, so I did, and the latest post said there was a teaser trailer for their latest project. I watched the video, and I went to heaven. Halo 3 Campaign Expansion. I watched the Xbox 360 Fanboy video Analysis, and apparently it might come out January 6, 2009 at the point of view from ODST Units.

The freshman were supposed to go to some weird bonding thing today, but that got canceled because of the rain. So kids in my dorm came in and woke us up, so we spent the morning watching YouTube. Around 7:30, someone called my phone and ask who I was, so I said Ben, and he said he must have called the wrong number. So, I said yeah, and then he asked how long I had this number, so I said I had it for like a month. Then he said: So, are you hot? And I was like, I don't know... And then I hung up. 10 minutes later, he txted me and said, Hey ben, are u gay/bi/str8 white?

So, I am a little weirded out right now. I am waiting for it to be later so I can tell one of my dorm supervisors about it.

I am a douche because I have not updated in like over a week!! Like, ZOMG!!!

Well, Boarding School is going pretty well. I am making friends, and my roomates are cool. I live with 2 of them, and they are both cool.

Classes just started yesterday, and those were pretty easy. I think I learned everything I am going to learn this year already last year. So, those are going to be easy. Especially Spanish, cause I learned Spanish for the last 5 years, and still being in Spanish 1 is not helping that. I need to get to Spanish 2.

The upperclassmen here are mainly nice, but some of them are doing that "I AM HOLIER THAN FRESHMAN" thing. It's wicked annoying, but I am smarter than most of them so that's OK.

The orientation trip was way too long. We hiked 2 mountains and slept in the woods for 2 nights, and that wasn't bad, but the hiking was a bitch. I never got a chance to lighten my load for going up the mountain, so it was incredibly heavy and took forever to get up the mountain. I was ok with most of the kids, but there were these 2 that were too spoiled for me even want to be near.

We are allowed to go out into the town most of the time, and we mainly get our homework done here. I still need to meet the rest of the Freshman class, but all of us are going to a high ropes course this sunday, so some bonding will happen then. I guess.

When my parents get home, my mom is driving me up to Maine, where I think I will sleep in a hotel for the night.

Then the next day, orientation starts and Freshman head out for camping in the mountains for the next 4 days.

I played Halo 3 so many times this week, that well, it was scary.

I have the Xbox at my house, so all I have done is play Halo 3. I improved online more than I needed. It's sick nasty. I was playing Swords on Snowbound and Narrows, and I came in first with 25 kills both times. I got Assassinations, Beat Downs, Kill From the Graves, Double Kills, Triple Kills.

I have decided to make the rest of this post in lolspeak.

I haven't updated in nearly a week so here we are.

My summer is almost over.

I leave for boarding school Sept. 2 and orientation starts the next day. Apparently we go camping or something the next day for it. I don't know.

I'm pretty tired. Ima go to bed in a while.

John is laying low at his house for a while cause he had some alergic reaction to something, so he is just chilling at his house till he feels better.

I went to my going away party that my friends held for me, and it was pretty cool. I was really happy that I got to see them one last time before i left.

Yesterday I got's a new watch which was cool cause my old one broke, well, it didn't break but, the strap broke and someone moved it when I went to camp, so I just couldn't find it. Go figure.

I am back to babysitting Sam again. Though, this will probably be the last week I do such cause he will be old enough to be home alone when I leave, maybe not smart enough though.

My dad must have gotten my family Burger King at least 100 times this summer. That was cool because I love Burger King and I usually work it off with a game controller or by mowing the lawn. Which I have to do tomorrow.

My new laptop works like a charm. It types fast, in fact I have typed this whole thing up in like 3 minutes. Plus, it uses Vista, which really isn't that bad, and I heard from critics that it sucks nads.

My neck hurt for 3 days before it actually felt better, but I got my revenge on my dad when he got a giant sunburn on his stomach and I pinched and 5 stared him to near tears. :D

I use my cell phone almost religiously. I guess it's because my parents never got me a good one until now.

In really awesome news, I have some awesome news! I was included in the Angry Video Game Nerd's latest video. If you do not know who the AVGN is, well, prick open your ears and listen for a bit you hooligan. He is an internet celebrity that makes videos where he reviews really old NES video games that suck. He is called the Angry Video Game Nerd because, well, because he gets so angry at these horrible games, that it just may scare you. Anyway, he gets millions of views for each video, and he made an announcement where he said he was going to review a old game called Deadly Towers for the NES. He wanted to perform an experiment with this video where he wanted to have the fans write their review of the game, and he would compile at least 30 into one big fan made review. Well, I sent in my review and just a couple days ago, he released the video and part of my review was selected for the video. My part begins when he says "Even the Manual says you have no confidence in this sword." and it's everything between and its end at "It's almost like this game wants to &%*$ing piss you off!". I had to bleep that out cause sometimes my dad checks my blog. So, I want to stay ungrounded. The video will be done below.

My neck hurts cause my dad and I were wrestling and of course he won. Again.
It's k, cause in a few years I shall have the upper hand and he will be old, so I will win then.

The movies was cool last night, and I got into a pop corn fight with Nicole, that she won because she locked my arm down, and lets face it, I'm not the most fit kid out there, and I was with out a hand the rest of the movie.

Well, right now John is sleeping over which is awesome.

Today we went to the beach with my family and chilled and scouted to babes with some success. There was one girl who sold slushies who expressed interest in us, but John went and shut her down.

We got giant sun burns up the ying yang, so now I really think that I have the tannest arms in Chelmsford.

Well, John is talking on the phone with some hot girl he met in Maine, so I decided to blog while he seduces the girl via phone.

He wants to go to my private school really bad.

And the exploding whale thing, it's right below. There was this whale in the mid 60's that washed up on some town's shore and they didn't know what to do to get rid of it, so they filled it with TNT and forgot about the giant whale blubber that would rain down upon them. Check it out.

Wow.

That's all I can say about my time at camp.

It was just amazing.

We got there on Sunday and met with my cabin who looked more our age than my previous cabin, which made me think I wasn't going to have a cabin full of pricks like I did last year. I was right, the kids in my cabin were just fantastic. We all got along great together and never got on each other's nerves. It was cool because 3 of them were gamers and knew what to talk about when it came to video games and had good taste in music as well.

My counselors were great too. They both just generally gave us a lot of lean way and space so that we could do what we wanted. They had horrible cabins before and said that we were their best cabin and they really did a good job at being our counselors. We did what they said most of the time and they would always give us cool things. Like one night, my counselor Adam gave us Dr. Pepper and Chocolate Chip Cookies from the office and let us feast. It was amazing. My other counselor, Matt, was just really nice and was really cool to talk to.

I saw my past camp friends, Teddy and Cam, which was awesome cause they have been going there for a while and I have known them since my 2nd year. We always talked and chilled and it was just really cool that I got to see them again.

Since I went to Session 4, they had a giant competition called Mariners and Pioneers. It's basically a 3 day battle for ultimate camp supremacy between both teams for Burgess and Hayward, and it's just amazing all of the time. The Mariners one for the last 3 years, and 2 years ago when I was on their team, it felt great to win with them. This year, I wanted to be a Mariner, but I was a Pioneer, so my job to help "Take back the title". Eventually at the end, the Pioneers won, and it was great to experience winning on both teams, so now I have no favorites and I won't care who's team I am on next year.

Alex had a great time, and it was a blast having him there.

On the last 2 days, Adam gave away tons of his cool shirts, which was sick cause I needed some, and he also gave away his sick sound system which he gave to me cause he knew I needed it for boarding school. But, secretly since I have a better sound system, I am going to give this one to my friend John who really wants one but can't find a cheap and good one.

So, now I just need to wait until January before I go back to camp for Winter Reunion.

It will go by in no time.

Also, today my mom went on an insane shopping spree for boarding school and actually got me a laptop. I was like "Holy Crap" when she got it cause it just stunned me cause I thought I was taking my desktop up with me.

The laptop is insane cause it has gaming functions and now I can play the Orange Box on it!!

Well, Camp was great.
Is was probably the best year I have had yet.
Alex had a lot of fun, and I'm glad he liked it.

I'm wicked tired because camp fixed my sleeping schedule. So, now I am ready to go to bed and it's only 10:30.

I'm going to go and try to fill in more stuff later, but now I need to go and look at Lolcats cause I have been gone for 2 weeks and ICanHasCheezburger.com is bound to have at least 100 new lols for me to look at.

I didn't go to sleep at all last night, so yesterday, I planned to stay awake all day and do my report for school, except I failed, so I decided I would just sleep until 2:30, except, my subconscious didn't agree. I had left a note on my door for my dad to wake me at 2:30, but when he woke me, I refused to get out of bed, and was just a royal dick. This went on time after time when he tried to wake me up, except I don't remember this at all. So, I went to sleep around 12 PM and didn't wake up until 10:30 at night. Yeah, I'm an idiot.

So, I finished my book for the report this morning, now all I have to do is a book report, actually just the rough draft of my report, and then I can go to camp no matter what.

Alex is going to sleep over tonight, and then my parents will drive us to camp tomorrow. We will probably get there around 12 or so. This is going to be the schedule tomorrow for camp, and I know this cause well, this is my 7th year there.

Signing in starts at 11, and we will get there around 12, and then signing ends at 1.
We hang in our cabins and meet our new cabinmates our do something with the other cabins till 2, 3, or longer.
Then, we get the unit talk, which is just an introduction to the camp session, and they tell us the rules, and what we have to do for our unit (Alex and I will most likely be Vikings, the oldest group, but they also made a new unit over the year).
Then we go back to our cabin for like half an hour and head up to flag poll, which is just cabin check-in to see if we are present at the meal.
Then we go to dinner, and have the dinner talk, which is them explaining how meals go on in the dining hall.
Then, we head back to our cabins again and have opening campfire which is a bunch of skits put together by cabins or campers.
Then, we all go back to our cabin, have maybe a cabin chat, get ready for bed, read or talk for like half an hour, then we go to bed.

That's the basic layout for tomorrow, and I hope to get to camp and not be the last two kids in my cabin, so Alex and I can grab a bunk for the both of us that doesn't suck. Last year I got the top bunk in the middle of the cabin. It didn't have support against the walls at all so it was like a moving tower of death.

Alex and I will either be in a cabin or a tent. I'm not sure what. I hope a cabin cause the tents don't have heating or stuff like that.

I'm a bit worried, cause the kids get a little different over the year, but I have Alex to watch my back, and I will do the same for his. I generally get along with everyone though, and I'm sure Alex will too.

Well, if I don't post a blog tonight or tomorrow, talk to you in 2 weeks.

I seem to be in a conundrum...

All of my TV shows will be coming out while I am at boarding school, and yet I will have no way to watch them...

I suppose I could watch them via internet, but, that waits to be seen.

I woke up at 6:15 today cause I didn't go to bed until 10 because my dad took both of us out for breakfast, which kicked horse radish cause I got french toast and bacon! 2 nights ago, I tried to make french toast, except I used 500% more cinnamon than needed and when I ate them, it tasted like fire. Apparently, too much cinnamon can make you taste fire. Like the devil...

I really need to finish this book report. Like, I REALLY need to. I have been putting it off for a month, and I need to finish it. But, the book I have to do it on, doesn't make any sense at all!!!! Legit, I was reading it, and at first it made sense, then it just lost me. So, I went to Wikipedia, to see what I was really reading, and the plot was completely different that what I had thought.

I have to mow both the lawn on the side of my pool and the giant lawn outside the fence that surrounds my pool. Normally, I would just do the pool lawn and that's it, but I need 20 bucks and that's the only way my dad will pay me. But, I was supposed to do both before 12 and I didn't wake up until 3. Yeah, that's another thing I have to fix. I need to try and get back to a normal schedule of sleeping, cause I have slept away most of my summer, and that sucks balls of steel.

I'm off to camp this Sunday with my best friend Alex. That's gonna be wicked fun, cause now for once I can take someone with me from school to show them what I really enjoy so much over the summer. Considering I don't do anything else but camp...

I have been going to the orthodontist A LOT lately because I keep breaking my braces. I just went last week because I broke 3 brackets and snapped the wire, which sucked, cause I already went the week before that for another broken bracket. But now, I have to go back because my dad and I were wrestling and I caught a bracket on a pillow and the elastic broke off. My dad admits it was his fault, but my mom still blames me.

My parents let me get new games for the Wii via the Internet. My bro and I went on the Wii Shop Channel and bought 3 games. Super Mario 64, Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario Bros. 3. Personally, Super Mario 64 is the best because you don't die every time you get hit one time. Which is queer, cause in Super Mario Bros. 3, you could get to the end of the game with being hit 2 times already, and step on the enemy the wrong way and then game over. You lost. You have to start from the beginning of the game. This doesn't bother me too much though, but if other games like the first Zelda at the time could make a save function, why not the Mario games? Meh...

Ok, I need to go out and mow the lawn and face my dad, for he will eat my soul cause I still want 20 bucks.

Today was wicked stupid.

I accidentally slept past 7, which was when I had to go and get my brother on the bus, so my mom came to John's house, where me, him, and his cousin were asleep, and then flipped out at me there. I was 3/4 asleep and can't remember what she said, but it was still stupid.

At 9 I had to go to the doctors. That sucked in general because I had to get a physical for my boarding school. On the bright side, in the last year, I grew 2 inches.

I had to get checked for TB which includes a needle, and I flipped out needless to say.

I went home and fell asleep by accident and didn't do my chores for I was asleep. So, my mom and dad punished me by not letting John sleep over. That was queer.

Well, now I am talking to my bff Nicole. She is pretty rad. It's gonna suck not seeing her next year, along with all of my other friends.

She has the best taste in music, and is the only person who realizes I have an advanced taste in it. Plus she says I am sexy. Yes, all of the time. Even ask her.

Well, right now I am at John's house again and we are trying to get some achievements on GTA IV that sound easy, but are fricken impossible. The first one we got was extremely hard and took over an hour ago. We had to play this weird 3D version of Tetris, and beat the high score.

Now we are hunting down 200 pigeons spread across the city.

Kay, right now I am at my friend John's house sleeping over. It's pretty awesome, it's me, John, and John's cousin, Mark. John is playing through Halo 3, and Mark is talking to both of us a I blog.

The last few days have been wicked awesome. Except 2 days ago, that sucked hairy chestnuts. I had to get a hair cut because I was going to my grandfather's house and he hates long hair. Plus he is paying for the first year of Gould.

I went to see the Dark Knight today with my friends Kelsy and Taylor. It was cool except friggen Kelsy picked me up too late so our showing and the next one was sold out, so we had to wait for an hour to see it. But, when I saw it, it was amazing. IT was the best comic book adaption of a movie I have seen yet. It was extremely good because it wasn't campy. The original movies for Batman (circa 80's-90's) were too campy because the comics at that time were being wicked Dark. These new movies with the new director gets the story down right. Heath Ledger portrayed the joker very good and that guy who did Two-Face was much better than Tommy Lee-Jones in Batman Forever. That was just weird. All of the changes they did from the comics worked seamlessly in the film so it didn't disturb comic fans at all and it would simplify it for other people. Except Taylor, every time someone died, "Is that person really dead?!?!?!"

I might have said it earlier, but I got Gears of War. It's ok, I don't see what the big hype about it is. It has average gameplay and the campaign took at least 5 hours to get through. Waaaaaay, too easy.

GOD DAMNIT MICROSOFT!!!

Ok, so at E3, Microsoft basically just gave out trailers and teasers for games everyone knows about and such. They unveilled a stupid dashboard update and avatars ripped off of Nintendo's Miis (like I don't have 4563464576 of those...). Yet, as it turns out, Bungie had secretly been working on a new Halo game and spent months of time to unveil it at E3. Well guess what, Bungie got screwed. Yup, Microsoft totally gave Bungie a slap in the face. They didn't even air what would have been the biggest jaw breaker at E3 to "steal thunder for their current line up". EVERY ONE IS ALREADY EXCITED ABOUT GEARS OF WAR 2 ALREADY!!!!!

You might be wondering, "Hey, why is this such a big deal?". Well, once upon a time ago in 2001, there was a little game console called the Xbox that wasn't getting and publicity at all. None. Zip. Zilch. Nadda. It was a huge flop in the industry. But, Microsoft came out with their first big hit upon the Xbox, Halo. Halo made the Xbox HUGE. It was the single game that made the Xbox stay afloat for 3 years until a new game came out. What was that game you may wonder, HALO 2!!! This was huge for the gaming community. There was an actual reason to go online for XBL since all the other games on Xbox sucked ASS, and it cost 50 bucks to even sign up for XBL.

Well, the Xbox 360 comes around eventually, and same story, no games are coming for it, seeing as how Halo 3 wouldn't be released for 2 more years. So, they get a game to take the heat off their next blockbuster, and that game was Gears of War. It was the only good thing for a little while until more games got afoot to the Xbox 360, until, wadda' ya' know, Halo 3 arrives! It was epic. It was the whole reason I bought my Xbox with my friend. I spent 6 months of my life working towards that game. It is my most favorite gaming franchise EVER. So, with Halo Wars coming out being a strategy game of Halo, with skeptics abound, and the ever so secretive Halo Chronicles around, Halo fans have nothing to look forward to hugely. Microsoft knew this clearly, and they would have won E3 over times 10. Do they care? Nooooooooo. They think now that that have a good old foothold in the market, they don't need Bungie. So, they disregard the work Bungie had put in for the last months and gave more Gears of War 2 demo.

AND NOW I HAVE TO WAIT ANOTHER YEAR TO FIND OUT WHAT BUNGIE IS WORKING ON!!!

I just wanted a piece of good news about my life changing favorite series before I go to boarding school; and since the only known things about Halo is the new book coming out in the fall, a STRATEGY game that's not even coming out on PC (we'll see how that goes...), and a friggen game about Halo THAT NO ONE KNOWS ANYTHING ABOUT.

In the shortest term possible, Microsoft just bitch slapped Bungie. They think that just because they own all the rights to Halo for the Xbox, that Bungie is their bitch and they don't have to listen to them. Bungie is pissed right now, I can tell, usually they are good to their fans and give them little hints as to what is coming out for them. Even when games by Bungie get delayed, we still get a caring hand from them. They are just great people. But, I can tell they are pissed. The President of Bungie is telling his fans off because they think this is all a gimmick. This is like Miley Cyrus throwing knives into her fans' eyes because her Dad cancelled her tour to do his own. Ok, not the best analogy, I know, but listen: Microsoft is slapping the people that made them a huge thing again because they think they don't need them anymore. Now Bungie is in a VERY rare bad mood. See what I meant with Miley Cyrus, even though her dad didn't do that. Hypothetically, it would be the same if her dad cancelled the tour she had been working hard for, because her new popularity made her Dad talked about again.

Ok, I'm just pissed.

It's 5 in the morning, and my new lower braces make it impossible to eat for now, and my favorite game series is being secretive again, and they wouldn't have to if MICROSOFT DIDN'T HAVE TO BE SUCH A PRICK!!!

E3 2008

The last two days have been really exciting for anybody or anyone who is intoeverything video games, knows that the last 2 days have been the beginning of E3 which is the largest video game convention in the world. It used to be open to the public but you needed a ticket, but now it is just invite only. =(

Microsoft, Nintendo, and Sony have had their press conferences which I saw on TV, and they were pretty awesome. Microsoft unveiled a system update for the Xbox Dashboard, making it 100% more awesome than before. Sony talked about mainly new games that were coming to it's system. Nintendo talked about new Wii games like a new Wii Sports game and such. I have to say, I was vastly disappointed with all of these though. Sony, not so much because I don't have a PS3, therefore, I do not care. I want a new Legend of Zelda game. WHERE IS IT. It's been 2 years since the last one. Does Nintendo seriously think this one won't get boring after a while? The update for Microsoft looks inventive, but it also looks really stale. It's more boring than the one they have now. They are making avatars for XBL accounts, like the Wii. It's ironic because they were making fun of the Wii for forgetting about hardcore gamers like myself. Avatars Microsoft, really? Microsoft showed gameplay footage of Gears of War 2, Fallout 3, and Resident Evil 5, along with Fable 2. Those were nice and all, but what about that new Halo game people were ranting about?

A pretty cool announcement was a new GTA game for the DS. I'm a little skeptic about it. Portable GTA has been tried on the Gameboy Advanced and that was a fail and a half.

Sony talked about boring new classics coming to PS3 gave yet another anoucment of Home being late. Home is another rip off from the Wii Avatars, because Sony and Microsoft can't get anymore original than before.

On a worse note, I got my lower braces today. They are uncomfortable and hurt like a biznatch.

So, my mom's friend Colleen is staying over for the weekend because my mom is having a dog tournament. It's pretty cool, but she brought her kid who is like 1 and a half. Toddlers scare me. I don't even know why. They just do. So I have been staying my room all day avoiding him so I don't freak out.

Buuuuut. It turns out The Orange Box sucks on an outdated computer with a bad graphics' card/ Yeah, who knew, right? So I worked for my Dad all week and he paid for a new one for my Xbox. This is awesome because I can actually beat Half Life 2. It took me 5 hours to get to one part on my PC because it was sooooooo laggy, when it only took 2 on my Xbox. Plus the achievements I unlock will go towards my gamerscore.

I have decided to post a new Lolcat with every post I make. I love Lolcats. They tried to make Loldogs, except those aren't funny. Lolgoats were made, and those are OK. So here it is.

Oh It's A Geek Life For Me!

I feel like I need to talk about more things in my life because I have not clearly labeled what's important in my life.

Let's start out simple.
I am a geek.
You can make fun of me no matter how much you want, it was how I was raised. It has run in my family ever since the dawn of comic books.

Back in the day, when my grandpa was just a kid, he discovered comic books. He discovered the fantastical journeys Superman would bring him, or the mysteries Batman could solve. My grandpa had discovered his calling. Comics. But, there was one thing that had been bred into my family long before geekmanship. That was labor. Martins have never had it easy; we have always had to work for a living, and my grandpa who had grown up on a farm in a military family knew that better than anyone. Soon Vietnam came calling, and my grandfather had fought in that war. He came back a more serious man, loosing his geek roots. When he had my Dad in the 60's he had first told him of comic books. It didn't take long for the geek world to come calling out to my dad when Star Trek was on the verge of creating and Empire, and Star Wars was just becoming a cultural phenomenon. The first famous game console to go to a home, the Atari 2600 was my dad's birthday present. Oh how many nights he had spent with Pitfall I shall never know. Yet, hard labor was calling and as always, work came before being a nerd. My dad had went to a really bad public high school and was picked on from what I heard. He had dropped being geeky, and buffed up to defend him self. My dad got big. He may have gotten out of shape since then, but he certainly could whoop anyone's ass if need be. Soon my Dad met my Mom and they had me. I was an early riser for being a geek because my dad had engulfed me in what he grew around. Star Wars. The first movie I had ever saw, and it was amazing. It was just then during the 90's when George Lucas had made the Expanded Universe for Star Wars happen, which means he made books about Star Wars and Comics. My dad read these and later explained them to me.

I always thought if your family was really into something before you were born, it would make you love it even more. Like, if your Dad grew up as a huge Sports fan and talked to you about it, you would be an even bigger one as you got older. The same thing was for being a geek in my family. I am the biggest geek yet. It was in the early 90's when home computers became a thing every house needed. The average computer had at least 10 GB's of storage. That's horrible when I realize my computer has 250. But, since I lived in a low income household in Arizona, we got a computer with just 2 GB's. We had that computer for ever, and I will never forget my first video game. Star Wars: Rebel Alliance 3D. It was the first 3D Star Wars game, and it was on PC. It was the end of that PC's life, and my mom bought it for my dad. Not knowing truly what video games were, I tryed it for a bit. What started out as a hobby became a full fledged addiction. I had become a gamer. Eventually it was 2000 and we had previously moved into our house in Massachusetts when I had just begun Kindergarten. For Christmas that year my mom had bought me my own PlayStation. Considering this was the end of the PS1's life span, we only had 3 games. Some snowboarding game I mastered, A Bug's Life, and The Grinch Game. Soon it became 2002 and Christmas came abound and the Nintendo Gamecube entered my life. My first games were Super Mario Sunshine and The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. Now, even though I loved video games, my parents knew education came first. I was always the smartest one in my class, and I had studied everyday. The Legend of Zelda games are known for being at least 30 hours long on average for a teen player, but, I was smart, and those puzzles weren't that hard for me and I got really far into the game before I lost it. Soon I had discovered Halo. Halo came out in 2001 and was the best First Person Shooter to ever be released. The Xbox station at Wal-Mart had a demo and I spent hours at that store trying to beat it until I did after 45 trips to the Wal-Mart. Soon I had entered middle school and games were wearing thin for me because I had beat all of the ones we owned. After many years of playing the same games over and over again, the Wii had come out. It was amazing. I had asked for it for months just for Christmas, and when Christmas morning came, it wasn't in any of the presents. Disappointed, I played new PC games I had until later that night, my mom brought me and my brother downstairs to open one last package. It was the Wii. I was Amazed. My mom sold technology for computers, so I always was good with electronics so I had set it up in at least 5 minutes. I remember playing Twilight Princess for hours and thinking it would never end. Until my birthday came. Yet, video games were getting expensive. Next gen games were 50-60 bucks. We only had 5 games for our Wii for nearly 6 months. This was the year my friends had been a big part of my life.

I had always had friends, just I only had 2 I would hang out with. When I moved to Massachusetts, I was a little kid with a southern accent that no one wanted to talk to. Soon I met a kid named John Edwards in Kindergarten. He became my first real best friend. He introduced me to my old best friend Connor. John moved away in 1st grade, so the only real friend I had was Connor. We became inseparable. I had spent all of my time with him, and we were basically brothers. Soon our teen years came, and out friendship started to get strained. In the long run, things didn't work out, and after nearly 10 years of being friends, I had to end it. I'd rather not get into details, but we were both wrong about the situation, and I was too much of a baby to admit I was wrong. But, in 2nd grade I met my third best friend, John P. He didn't live far from me suprisingly, just 1/5 of a mile and we saw each other a lot at school. We weren't best friends until 4th grade when he started to come over to my house. At the end of that year, we knew we were going to different schools, and vowed to stay in touch. Well, we did, and we have been best friends since. No fights at all and even though he denies it, he's a little bit of geek too. In April of 2007, we had been awaiting the release of Halo 3 so we could at one point play it some how. It was then when we were walking back to his house that we would make a plan that we could some how buy an Xbox 360 and play Halo. It took 6 months, but soon, we saved enough money, and on Sept. 30, we spent $450 dollars together and bought or Xbox 360 Elite and Halo 3. It was the best moment for gaming in my life. It was at that point when I did realize I was a gamer.

After nearly a year, with a new found purpose in life that had been staring me in the face for 10 years and a subscription to GamePro magazine, I had started to keep in contact with the gaming industry with new game releases and news, so on and so forth. My new dream is to become the host of X-Play or Attack of the Show! on G4TV. X-Play is a show for video game entirely and has received numerous awards. Attack of the Show! is a news show for the geek world for geek pop culture and geek news or products. I am going to get the inside scoop for games, and I will do it.

Ever since I was 6 years old, I have wanted to go to E3. E3 is the biggest convention for video games in the world. It is held once a year to the public, except starting last year, it is now for invites only. This means the only way I can get to E3 is by working in the gaming industry. I will achieve this by all means, and will do anything to do it.

Now as I have said, hard labor is something that runs in my family. I have a much better house since I was born, and live in a better neighborhood than my Dad, I still have to help. My Dad needed to help his Dad, so I have to help mine. It's not very bad, but still, I do more labor than any of my friends. Minus John, he does more than me, and when I ask for help with some, he does it a lot better that I would. It's not hard to work for my dad, but trying to get paid is. I will be the first to admit that my dad is a cheap bastard. I'm not offending him in any means, he just is. I grew around it, and the first time I realized he was cheap was when my grandpa called him cheap for refusing to buy us soda at the grocery store. I have to give it to my dad though, he works as a mechanic at UPS, so he knows hard work very well, and I don't need money to get by in my life. I just need Star Wars.

Now, my friends are a big part of my life, but some of them don't really understand me. I trust all of them, but some of them think I am being a self fish prick by not going to the mall with them, and to stay at home to watch Indiana Jones with my brother. Even if I could go to the mall, I would just go to GameStop and CVS for candy. I don't have any money to spend on clothes, and I would look ridiculous in nice clothes anyway. I live on Wal-Mart. I get clothes there and I always have. My family doesn't have the money so I can get clothes at Hollister or American Eagle or some stuff like that. We go shopping for clothes 2 times a year. My friends understand that though. I hang out with them when I can, and I always try to make time for them. They make fun of me for being really nice to adults, because I am really polite when around some, and really lazy when around me friends. My Dad would actually yell at me if I didn't answer in "Yes Sir" or "Yes Mam" to my parents. I lived with this, and it just grew on me.

It's gonna be weird next year because I am going to a boarding school 300 miles from my home, and chances are, when I leave, I won't see my friends nearly as much as I used to. It's cool though because I get a new slate to start on. No one will know me, so I could change my personality just for there and fit in, and go home and stay the same as I am now, and still be OK. Except, next year I have to wear nice clothes, and I hate those clothes. I'm talking about Khakis and collared shirts.

My brother is always some one who needs special attention. He doesn't have a learning disability or nothing like that. He just is over emotional and doesn't have a great attention span. He never had friends until this year, so he always relied on me to help him. I have an anger issue, so I tend to blow up at him, but he can't help it. I realize now what he has to go through, and I will help him as much as I can. This summer, I spend most of my time with him, so I watch movies or play video games with him, and he get along fine.

Camp is always the biggest excitement every year for me. I started going when I was 8 and this year will be my 7th year. I'm a camp veteran, and I am very proud of it. Soon, I will work as a counselor to get threw life there, until I get out of college and beginning my career in gaming media. I go to camp for 2 weeks each summer, and always have a blast. This year, my friend Alex is coming to camp with me, so it will be cool showing someone who I know at school what I do at camp.

My music is basically Indie Rock. It keeps me concentrated, and if you happen to want to listen to some, check my playlist at the bottom of this blog.

Happy Bungie Day!!!!

If you happen to be a geek at all, you would know what today is. It's Bungie Day!!! Bungie is the company that made all of the Halo games, and the 7th day of the 7th month (July 7) each year is the one day that Bungie can celebrate it's awesomeness. This is the first year Bungie is a seperate company, for it used to be owned by Microsoft, before departing itself. They released a new theme and set of gamerpics for Halo 3 on Xbox Live. They also released an awesome new map called Cold Storage. I downloaded these, and the Legendary Map Pack.

Today I woke up to my wonderful Dad attacking me for it was 1 in the afternoon. He's an ass. But, my friends John and Nate came to my house and we chilled all day with John's cousin Mark. We basically talked all day.

My weekend was really boring, except, I got my Xbox back, and I played that all weekend. I finally beat Grand Theft Auto IV, which was insaaaaaane.

I'm going to play my Xbox some more, so have a fun and happy Bungie day.

Smells like a Thursday...

Hahahaha, I didn't go to bed until 5:30 AM last night, so I didn't wake up until 4 in the afternoon, which was fun, except, well...

My dad is making me stay up all night tonight, and all day tomorrow so I can back into the habit of going to bed at the right time. To punish me even more, he made me cut the grass, even though it was too short to actually cut again. That took 45 minutes, then I went inside and watched Dragon Ball Z on my computer.

I got a new layout for my blog, as you can see. :D. It's the Wii, for I am an Nintendo kind of guy. Legend of Zelda is my favorite series. The blog looks fine, except my playlist is kind of out of place. But that is fine I guess.

I'm going to add my GamerTag for my Xbox 360 to my blog if anyone actually reads this and has XBL as well.

I intend to play Super Mario Galaxies all night to stay awake.

My brother got My Name is Earl Season 1 one DVD, so I will watch those too. I always have an emergency plan for when my dad makes me do this. Entertainment is no problem. Food isn't either because my brother got the Star Wars cookbook from the Library, so I will eat Skywalker Shakes and Twin Sun Toast or Wookiee Cookiees all night.

I have to pry my brother from the couch now because he rented it and is too afraid to go to bed.

Today was pretty fun.

I went to the mall with my friends Alex and Kelsy, but Taylor couldn't go for reasons unknown.
We stopped by GameStop and I got a new Halo 3 back pack for my new school. It's a lot better than my old one. I am going to keep using my old one for trips with my family though.

I went to Burger King, A.K.A. Heaven, and ate a quad stacker and Kelsey watched in amazement as I finished it in one sitting. My heart hurt the rest of the day.

We went into Hot Topic and I felt my soul being sucked away. When ever my friend John and I go in there, he always asks me if my whole school is hiding away in there.

2 days ago, I was watching Attack of the Show, and I noticed them talking about a blog on Blogger about a cat who got in this accident and had its face squished by a car. It had eventually had to get it's back leg amputated and needed to get tissue removed from her face. It doesn't look like a normal cat, but it still has the same feelings, and the crew of AOTS actually made fun of the cat. I got pissed, I have a cat with a stretched back face and is missing her left ear, yet she has the same feelings. I also have 7 cats and 7 dogs, so my feeling for animals are pretty strong. She works as a therapy cat for the deformed and helps them a lot.

Some might think I sound really stupid by talking like this, but I can't help it. Animals are a big part of my life.

My week has been pretty boring.

I keep babysitting my brother, until tomorrow, because then my mom is coming home half way through tomorrow and the rest of the week. At like 12 I am going to the mall with my friends Kelsy, Alex, and Taylor. I just need to see what time my mom is coming home tomorrow.

Today I listened to indie rock all day. Indie is the kind of music that gamers that listen to. It keeps you concentrated on the game at hand. The Flaming Lips, Apollo Sunshine, and The Shins are my favorite. They all have just calm music.

I was browsing the web lately and I discovered they are making a Dragon Ball Z movie for next summer. I am extremly excited for this because ever since a kid, Dragon Ball Z was my favorite TV show. It just blew my mind away with all of the insane fighting and awesome super mega blasts coming out of the people's hands that would throw someone through a fricken wall. I am deff seeing this when it comes out next summer. Dragon Ball Z isn't something normal gamers watch, because well... most of the Dragon Ball Z games suck. They suck a lot. Except for the last 2, they have been pitiful excuses for fighting games. I used to have DBZ clothes that I would wear, and if I went to a friend's house for a LAN party, I would get made fun of. I was fricken Goku for 3rd Grade Halloween. This is what I dressed up as:

I am just excited for this movie like no other. I mean, I am more excited for this than The Dark Knight, and I am a GIANT comic book nerd.

Ah crap, I have to go. It's thundering really bad, so I have to go and make sure the house doesn't get destroyed by water. I have to close all of the windows. Last time I didn't, it rained on my computer.

Time to report about my weekend.

It was pretty good.

I got the Orange Box on Saturday from Wal-Mart. It has 5 extremely good games in it for only $40. I also got a new keyboard, because I needed one. Alas, my old one has been breaking. This one is cool because it has LED backlights in it, so I can see in the dark.

My dad has been putting up hard wood flooring in our family room and it looks really nice. I helped him a little, but he likes it for people to stay out of his way.

I played Portal and Half Life 2 all weekend. I beat Portal in 2 hours, but it was really funny because the narrator had a lot of ironic jokes she kept saying to me. Half Life 2 is more fun except it lags a lot on my computer. Since I am going to boarding school this fall, I am going to convince my mom I need a new video card and processor for it.

I slept until 3 today. That was nice. My brother got Boom Blox for the Wii so I played that. It is actually really fun. Besides that, it poured today. There was so much lightning, I was nervous it was going to hit my house.

Oh, and I think I am going to buy an NES for retro gaming fun. If you don't know what an NES is, you honestly need to rethink your life. The NES is Nintendo's first game console. It was the console the first Mario and Legend of Zelda games came out on. I decided to get one so I could pass some time this summer since my parents won't let me bring my Xbox 360 back to my house cause I got too addicted to GTA IV.

Well, I am going to bed.

It's already 2 in the morning.

I need to get ready to watch my brother and then watch the new Red Vs. Blue episode.

Ah yes, today...

It was pretty stupid.

I woke up at 12 cause I didn't go to bed until 4 in morning. But, that's not why it was a bad day. I had to mow the lawn and our mower is broken. I have a really big lawn. Since the mower is broken, it took 3 1/2 hours to finish the front and back lawns.

Also, my little brother was being a giant prick. I did a bunch of chores this weekend, and my dad said he would take me to the Incredible Hulk. The Hulk is Sammy's favorite super hero. Like, he worships him like a god. So, I decided to take Sam along. But, the whole day he was being such a prick, I just felt like leaving him here. But, I went, and I saw the movie. It was really good. A better improvement from the last one. That sucked.

My brother called me and my dad a bitch when we got into the car to go home. I was pissed cause I let Sam come to see the movie, but my dad, whoa, he was pissed. Try dealing with him when he is pissed, and see if you live. The whole movie cost 50 bucks and my dad flipped at Sam for being ungrateful. Sam doesn't even know why everyone is angry at him!

Well, I have a bunch of chores to do tomorrow. So, I guess I should hit the sack. *Immature snicker*.

I am going to Best Buy tomorrow to get a copy of The Orange Box for my PC. It's a bundle of 5 great games that only costs 30 bucks, so I am getting a copy tomorrow. I am psyched,

It's been a long day...

I was supposed to go to a friend's house today, except my parents never found plans for my little brother. So I had to stay here...

I watched Donnie Darko today. It was really really good. I love psychological thrillers, so this one was really good at getting my attention.

I had a Mario Kart Wii competion with my brother. He won. He always does.

After that, I played Super Mario Galaxies for 6 hours. That was pretty fun. I kept getting stuck on some really stupid part of a level, and that took 45 minutes to beat.

I have an intense headache because when I play video games, I don't blink. So, I am suffering from that right now.

Alright, it is wicked late, so I am going to hit the sack.

Well, this is my second blog post, and this is now the end of the 3rd day of my summer vacation. It is wiiiiiicked boring so far. My parents are making me babysit my little brother for 2 weeks, so I have to do that for another week after this one...

Today was rather stupid.
I didn't go to bed until 4 in the morning and my brother woke me up 2 times an hour until it was 11:30.
Then I had to clean the house and listened to music.
My LA teacher called me because I was missing my book report and he was doing last minute grading, so I just sent that to him.
And, well, my parents are being well... parents.

It's been a long 3 days.
